Smithʻs Tropical Paradise

Centrally located on the east side of the island is where you will find this lush 30-acre garden park. It is known as “The Coconut Coast” in the Wailua Marina State Park.

Experience tropical splendor as you meander on pathways that are over mile long. You will experience nature at its best along the way,  with peacocks and other tropical birds, over twenty types of fruit trees in the Tropical Orchard that include breadfruit, jack fruit, macadamia nuts and star fruit.

This is a place you can enjoy at your own leisure before heading up to the Fern Grotto.

Chocolate Farm & Fruit Orchard Tour

The tour will start with walking through their exotic fruit orchard, it will be a treat to see which fruits are in season. Then you will come upon the Cacao Trees, learn how they are grown and harvested. Touch and taste the raw Cacao right from the trees. The best part is when you head to the tasting tent and get to sample 11 different kinds of chocolate from all over the world. Your taste buds will enjoy the experience. This tour is roughly 3-hours long.

Kauaʻi Coffee Estate

The Kauaʻi Coffee Estate is the largest coffee farm in the United States. During your visit, you will learn how the coffee is grown, harvested, and roasted on the island. They also have a gift shop on site. They are open daily Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
